Coaching is a conversation between two people, the coach and the coachee. During this conversation the coach encourages and facilitates the coachee to explore their own thoughts or experiences in a way that promotes insight and learning.
What happens during coaching
During the coaching process your thoughts, feelings and realisations will gently come to the surface, in a good way. As this happens sometimes a perfect idea or insight is uncovered. Previously this idea or insights may have gone unnoticed in the swirl of your thoughts that were surrounding it. This is the magical part of the process.
Coaching is about:
• turning the impossible to the possible
• setting specific goals
• being the best that you can be
• recognising your inner strengths and qualities
• raising your self awareness
• identifying where you are now and where you want to be
• seeing the wood for the trees
• helping to get you ‘unstuck’ and back on track
What does the coach do?
A coach is a non- judgemental, objective partner whose only agenda is helping you realise your potential and achieve your goals. A questioning approach is used to help you access the answers to your questions.
